Bronze medal

Awarded: Bronze

By: Tomáš Jelínek

Manufacturer(s): Dragon + Scratchbuild

Modifications: I scratch built all of the parts needed for conversion from plastic cards, evergreen profiles and copper wire. Only hull, boggies and tracks were used from Dragons kit.

After-market parts: Except some Eduards PE no other aftermarket parts were used.

Description: For base paint I used Gunze olive drab and weathered with oils and Migs pigments.

Judge 1
Excellent building of an interest vehicle. Scratchbuild parts are well done, with clean technique. very very beautiful the trellis structure. Painting phase is not convincing me. It seems that color is too dense and weathering is too generalized. Good is the drybrush
Judge 2
Love all the scratch conversion work you have done especially the little rods along the A frame. The canvas hatch & empty ammo box tray are a nice touch too. The over all paint work is in a unconvincing Olive Drab (to light & brownish) & the same with the light gray of the tyres & tracks. ( I would use black & let your weathering lighten them.) Decals are good & you have done a good job of the pinwashes too. I hope you are going to sell resin copies of this!
Judge 3
The build is excellent -well done. The finish doesn't quite match the build level and as one of the other judges mentioned it appears too brownish (this could be down to the lighting though). The track colour blends with the Olive Drab a little too much and would benefit from a different shade of dust /mud.
