After-market parts: resin wheel set from Dtoys / Accessary set from Legend

Description: This one models an M1126 STRYKER from the E company, the 2nd battalion, the 2nd Cavalry Regiment stationed in Germany. The kit is from Academy. The details and overall quality are great, except for the tyres. Their treads are very far far away in the galaxy-like looking, so I replaced them with resin wheels. With some resin accesaries, I tried to make it look kind of packed up. I painted it with Tamiya acrylic paints and weathered it with oil paints. Please enjoy it!

Really beautiful model! The weathering is really well done (though I would just use less lgiht tones for your washes such as raw umber). Good application of mud on wheels and on the undersides! Nice stowage and painting thereof as well. For that extra touch, I suggest you angle the wheels on your enxt modol to give a bit of variety. Great build!

This is a very well build model and stowage really adds to the realism. The paint work is nicely done especially the camouflage on the back packs -that must have driven you nuts!. It's always very hard to make a braille scale model look dusty without over doing it, with dust less is best as it has a tendancy to overpower such a smell vehicle; as it has done here. Make key areas such as crew access, lower and rear areas the most dusty and then less on the horizontal areas and even less on the vertical usually works best. Those resin tyres are a marked improvement and the mud is good although it seems out of place with such a dry dusty looking base. Keep up the good work.

Very nice model! And yes, we enjoy it! :) The stowage is very well painted, and the base color of the vehicle is also good. The rainmarks, and dust effects are also well done, but the light wash is a bit overdone. You can improve your skills by paint this weathering a bit cleaner, a bit more detailed. I also like your dark mud effect, but there's a little logical problem. That's right, that Striykers in Iraq are often seen with fresh mud on their undercarriage, but you placed the model in a dry, stone covered, desert scene. We don't judge the base, but it looks illogical for me. With an onther base it would be better. Overall, well done!
