Judge 1
Nice home made upgrade parts. I suggest you read our photo guide, as these photos are not sharp enough for a reasonable judging. What I see, that base color is nice painted, a bit dark, but not too much. Weathering was done only with pigments. Pigments are very effective weapons of weathering, but you can't win a battle only with the heavy artillery. There is a huge number of oil techniques of weathering, most of these could be well used on a dark green base like this. Details are painted well, but washes, some drybrushig, shadows and highlights are missing as well.

This is a nicely built model and the scratch built items are very well done. The paint is a little think in places obscuring the finer details and I find the colour is a little dark for my tastes. The weathering process always makes the final colour darker so it a good idea to paint your vehicles in a shade that looks way to light to start with. The dust is nicely done on the running gear but is a little to monotone and uniform on the upper hull (this maybe the poor photos). In the case of dust in this scale a little goes a long way, it's always better and concerntrate your efforts in selected regions with the running gear and rear being the dustiess, crew access areas a close second and the horizontal surfaces and sides receiving much less. The decals have been well applied and blend nicely with the final finish and the stowage is nicely placed and adds to the lived in feel, keep up the good work.

Wow nice build! The stowage is first rate along with your sratchbuilt parts (thouhg there seems to be nothing holding the large crate to the turret?). Full marks for your in-build photos from all angles and with good nuetral background. All round very well built. I agree with one of the judges that your paint si a bit thick in some areas. It is hard to tell from the photo, but the backpacks seem a tad shiny. Also finish and colors could benefit just a bit from some pin washes to pick-out small details you worked so hard at adding. Weathering is first rate! Otherwise a very excellent build of something that you dont see alot of on the tables!
