Kit(s) | Advancing grenadiers with MG. The German Reich 1939-45. |
The package contains parts for 12 walking german soldiers in 1/72nd scale.
As with other Preiser kits I know of, this kit comes in a small card box with examples of the figures assembled and assembled and painted. Inside the box are detailed instructions to which parts fits together and a view of the sprues.
This kit contains no less than 333 parts. The kit contains 6 sprues, 2 identical sprues with parts for the bodies (body, legs, heads and arms), 2 identical sprues with helmets, caps, packs etc. (more than you can fit on the 12 soldiers), and finally 2 different weapon sprues. Like earlier Preiser kits the box states "The German Reich 1939-45", and like the other boxes with WWII german soldiers, they look more early than late war. Unlike the other kits, this one contains a sprue with late war weapons like the MG42 and especially the MP44.
Preiser has done it again. All parts are nicely sculptured, and the details are great. This is like working with a resin kit, it's just alot cheaper. Some of the parts, particularly the bodies, contains some flash, but nothing bad. Like with other Preiser kits, the extra heads, helmets, caps and equipment, you can easily build 12 different soldiers. When building "non-action" WWII german dioramas, this kit is great. Highly recommended.
