Kit(s) | German field kitchen hf. 14 with table and accessories |
The package contain parts for a WW II German field kitchen (hf.14) in 1/72nd scale. The kit also contain parts for a wooden table and several accessories.
As with other Attack Hobby 1/72nd scale resin kits, the kit comes in a small hard, square plastic container with a card-board back. With the kit also comes a small piece of paper with instructions on how to assemble the kit, and which colours could be used. I almost lost 2 very small pieces because they had detached from their resin sprue, but apart from that, the kit arrived unharmed.
The field kitchen comes in 14 very detailed resin pieces. The parts for the kitchen has some flash, not much though. Some of the parts are really small and thin, so the kit might be a challenge for some! The wooden table comes in 4 parts, but only 3 parts are included in the kit. The 4th part, a small rod, shouldn't be too hard to "scratch". The table-top is really detailed. On it is placed what appears to be a tablecloth, a loaf of breath, 2 pieces of cheese, a sausage, 3 knives, a spoon and a fork. This will be a real challenge to paint, but if done properly, could be a real nice detail in any dio. The kit also contain small bottles, jerrycans, food containers and a wooden box. Most of these parts are also part of Attack's Kitchen equipment kit (RE72319). Again small and very detailed parts.
I'm really looking forward to building this kit. All the parts are crisp and detailed. Some of the parts has some flash, but not much. Some of the parts has a tiny air-bubble or two. They are hardly visible and none of them ruin the details. The details in this kit is really amazing. It will be hard to find any figures that could be used with this kit. The instruction as such is okay, but with the almost non-existing painting guide, I can only give a low score. The very small parts make it hard to build the kit in other ways than the instructions show, as changing the parts might very well destroy them, so I feel the options for building this kit is limited. Apart from that, I've got no complains or wishes, this is a great kit, and I'll recommend it for all 1/72nd scale dio builders!
