Kit(s) | US ammo wagen M8 and M10 |
This kit contains parts for 2 US trailers, a M8 and M10 trailer.
The kit comes in a hard plastic box, stapled on a piece of cardboard. Five pieces were detached from their sprues, and one of the pieces is broken/missing. Also included is a piece of paper with a description, a list of parts and illustrations showing how to assemble the two trailers.
The kit contains 33 pieces in light grey resin. Among the parts are: 4 very detailed wheels, 2 with offroad pattern and 2 with road pattern, cargo for both trailers and 2 trailer bodies and frames. The parts can be build into two trailers, and the trailers can both be build as either parked or towed trailers. Some of the parts has a little flash, and unfortunantly a few air-bubbles, and some of the air-bubbles ruin some of the smaller details on the trailer bodies.
I feel this kit really fills a gap, and I hope more trailers, both allied and German, will be released soon. They will certainly look good behind any US truck. The details on both trailers are really crisp, and the only bad thing I can think about, is that the underside of the trailers are without details. No under-carriage, no nothing. So if you plan on using a trailer as left and turned over, this is not the kit to buy. The options of this kit are several, apart from building the trailers as parked or towed, the kits can be build with or without cargo, the M8 can be build with the lids opened or closed and the M10 can be build with the rear flap opened or closed. I have to scratch-build the part that is missing/ruined, but apart from that, this kit shouldn't cause any problems, whether you are a novice or experienced resin builder. This kit is highly recommended, and I'll certainly have to get another one of these soon, and build a small convoy of US trucks with trailers.
