Kit(s) | GD, 18.PzAbt, 11.PD & Das Reich Panzer IVs (Ausf F1/F2/G) |
This decal sheet includes the marking for 17 specific Pz.Kpfw. IV tanks.
The decal sheet along with the instructions comes in a small zipped plastic bag. The instructions (in colour) are the same as used with Echelon's 1/16th, 1/35th and 1/48th sheets.
With the release of several late Pz. IV kits from Dragon, the sheet couldn't arrive at a better time - the sheet has decals for Pz. IV Ausf. F1, F2 and G. The units covered with this sheet includes 1. Pz.Abt. / Panzer Grenadier Division "Grossdeutchland", 18. Pz.Abt., SS-Pz.Kp. "Das Reich" and last but not least, 15. Pz.Rgt. / 11. Pz.Div. As with other products from Echelon, the decal sheet is printed by Microscale Industries, the instructions are printed on both sides on an a4 sheet (approx.). The instructions are in full colour, and show all specific vehicle in at least 2 views, one from the right side and one from the front. Some of the vehicles are also shown from the back.
The decals have fine details, good colour saturation and are all in perfect registration. As with the other decal sheet from Echelon I own, this sheet will keep me busy for years, luckily I have several late Pz. IV tanks in my stash, so hopefully this sheet will come to good use. As I've come to expect from Echelon, this is not just a sheet of decals, this is the result of a good, solid research, that will save me lots of hours of researching myself. The instructions are not just a set of generic Pz. IV pictures with the right camouflage, if you look closely, you'll notice small differences on the tanks, small details, like where to put the spare road-wheel on a particular tank. So all in all, great research, and the result is another good sheet of decals from Echelon.
Now I just need to try them on - and that might be a challenge.
