Street fighting was (and still is) among the toughest challenges to soldiers of all times due to constant danger that could suddenly emerge from everywhere at any second. The composition of this vignette with soldiers looking in different directions fully reflects this fact. Still, the machine-gunner is standing in the doorway opening which isn’t a wise thing to do during street fighting. The decision to make snow with the help of sodium is simple and effective, still, snow came out too rough due to large grains, and separate sodium grains are visible on the stand. The wall is painted well and looks quite authentic, though some wreckage lying nearby and some traces of gunfire on the wall would add to realism of the work. The figures are painted neatly, I like the way you did whitewashed helmets. Still adding stronger shades/highlights would make the soldiers and especially their weapons livelier. Winter of 1942/43 was quite cold, so you’d better equip the soldier with the rifle grenade with mittens. By the way, the city is written as Kharkov.

Excellent overall presentation with beautiful plaque and nice base. Composition is well done with good balance and symmetry with the uneven ground and figure placement. Nice weathering among the figures and reallt well done brickwork. Snow is also well done with figures dressed in fashion that shows very cold weather. Very good in-progress shots as well. Minor suggestions are to use slings on the weapons and try to keep the barrels on the weaposn from bending. Otherwise very fine job indeed!

Nice brick work colours avoiding the more obvious red brick colour. The snow looks realistic to with a wet look about it. The figures are nicely painted though the two standing one look at bit stiff maybe the heads could have been down & forward a fraction.good shades of colours in the clothing & facial details with the unshaven look!
